3.1 Substance/Preparation Classification

This preparate is dangerous under 67/548/EEC and 1999/45/EC regulations and subsequent amendments.

Therefore, this preparate requires a safety data sheet according to the 91/155/EC regulation and subsequent

amendments. Further information on health and/or environmental hazards can be found in sections 11 and 12 of

this sheet.

3.2 Danger Identification

 

MAY CAUSE SENSITIZATION BY SKIN CONTACT.

 

 

No harm to the staff authorised to use has been reported. However, in case of contact, inhalation or ingestion, the

following general measures provided for a first aid shall be taken.

INHALATION: remove to open air. If respiration is difficult, administer artificial respiration and seek medical advice.

INGESTION: seek medical attention. Induce vomiting only if indicated by the doctor. Never give anything by mouth

to an unconscious person.

EYES and SKIN: wash with plenty of water; if the irritation persists, seek medical advice.

 

 

 

5. Fire-fighting measures

 

Proper extinguishing means

Spray water, soap resistant to alcohol, dried chemical products or carbon dioxide.

Containers in proximity of fire have to be kept constantly fresh with spray water.

 

Extinguishing means which cannot be used for safety reasons 

DO NOT USE jets of water.

 

 

Allow containers to cool in order to avoid product decomposition and generation of substances which might injure

the health and be dangerous for safety reasons. Wear the fire equipment all the time.

Collect separately the contaminated water, used to extinguish the fire and do not release it in the sewers.

 

 

 

6. Accidental release measures

 

Personal precautions

Use personal protection means. Ventilate the room.

See protection measures listed in section 7 and 8.

The product can cause slipping.

 

Environmental precautions

Avoid the product to be released in sewers or water courses. In case the product contaminates rivers, lakes or

sewers it is necessary to inform the competent authorities.

 

Cleaning methods

Clan with detergents. Avoid cleaning with solvents.

Limit leakages with earth or inert material. Remove most of the product and then rinse the involved area by jets of

water.

 

 

 

7. Handling and storage

 

Suggestions for a safe handling

Avoid exceeding the professional exposure limits (see section 8)

Only use the product in areas provided with proper aspiration systems.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothes.

Do not smoke, eat or drink in the working areas. Avoid inhaling vapours or fumes.

Storage Area & Containers          

Follow the instructions written on the labels.

Open containers have to be carefully closed and kept in vertical position to avoid leakage.

Keep the product in ventilate areas, far from heating or ignition sources or direct sun rays, at a temperature

between 5° and 35° C.

Storage according to the specific national rules.

Smoking prohibited.

Electrical installations and working materials must be in compliance with the current safety and technical

regulations.

The product is stable in normal conditions of use and storage. In the event of thermal decomposition or fire,

vapours potentially dangerous to health may be released.

 

 

 

 

11. Toxicological information

 

Upon contact with skin, this product causes sensitization (dermatitis). Dermatitis derives from skin irritation on the

areas which repeatedly come into contact with the sensitizing agent. Cutaneous lesions may include: erythemas,

edemas, papules, vescicles, pustules, scurves, ulcerations and exudative phenomena, whose intensity varies

according to illness seriousness and affected areas. Erythemas, edemas and exudative phenomena prevail during

the acute phase. Scurfy skin, dryness, ulcerations and skin thickening prevail during the chronic phase.

12. Ecological information

 

Use this product according to good working practices. Avoid litter. Inform the competent authorities, should the
